the weekend backpackers!

Sunday evening… here I am again in the same familiar place that I grew with. It’s past 7pm and the market place is as busy as it always has. Sidecar passing by, people buying fish for dinner… the lotto hopefuls lining up waiting for their turn to bet another set of numbers and wish they would be lucky this time. As I’ve turned to our street the same old peeps around, it’s always like this. Nothing new… nothing special… when I got home my folks are on their way to pursue their “vday date”, in which uhum… was my idea! Hehehhe J

It was a great weekend for me, now that’s the only difference… after weeks of getting antsy we, the PETRA team, as the biatches were referring us to… had our so-called weekend getaway… a perfect breather for our group. Though there are some sudden change of plan… errr no plans at all I must say… just go to the beach, we still had fun!

We departed from Pasay and headed to Lipa city around 730 am, the actual call time is 715am but anyway its okay still… it was a speedy ride so we had to stop at SM Lipa to wait for our dear friend Rye… he arrived with his oh so cool tatay… unfortunately me, she and rye had to go on different route cuz we have to buy some flowers for our wedding surprise for Rowen and Gladys… and they (Gladz, Rowen, Marnz, Gen and Tatay Dioning) had a tour on the place that I have forgotten the name… well how can I remember I wasn’t even with them to have a quick stroll. Heheeh… bitter me… after our sumptuous lunch courtesy of Nanay Gutierrez and having baby talks with Rye’s niece Gabby… we head on to the BEAAAACHHH!!! It was a long trip but somehow worth it… after checking out some resorts around San Juan we ended up staying at Aroma Beach Resort… great place and not that pricey… so after unpacking my stuff… I headed on… where else… to the waters!!! Yeeeey!!! The sand is pretty darn white… not that white white but at least its white! You could see clear blue skies… but we have to end up in a jiffy the fun in the waters and sand cuz the big surprise is about to unfold… oooppsss but before that I have to tell a sad story… it was the saddest part of the trip… I lost my freaking just bought Speedo goggles… and my new found friend… Sebastian, a Kermit crab! Hehehehe J anyway we have to change our tops and wear some white shirts, we have informed Rowen on the last minute so at least he won’t be that surprised. The “ceremony” turned out to be frolicsome, thanks to our dear friend Genesis Porontong, the guest gay priest! Hehhehe… we end it up on sipping some cheap red wine… BUT YUMMY red wine. After pigging out last night… we decided to leave the cottage and get a night stroll, a perfect spot… maybe it was Virgin Resort where we hang out, we played some charades and the men team won! Ha ha ha!!!

Because of some great bluff of Tatay Dioning we get to have the connecting room for sleeping and that’s for FREE.

This morning was the best morning I had… need to take a short walk (well… not that short for other ordinary peeps I must say), collected some shells… did a lot of thinking… and taking pictures of the clear water and some little corals. Since I lost my goggles Gladz lend me hers… and yep I get to see the water bed… Rye discovered a tiny sea urchin, and I get to see a very vibrant colored stone fish! Who would trade those sights huh!

We didn’t have time to check out the Gutierrez farm but still the trip was great!
Now getting a little bit softee… I wasn’t that really affected when I lost my 800+ worth of goggles… I just said to myself, I may have lost this and I could have another one in the future but I’d rather loose much expensive goggles than to loose these peeps that I can say MY TRUE FRIENDS. I love them all. Oh well, tomorrow another week, another chapter. I hope I would be much stronger person tomorrow to face all the challenges life has to offer… for now… I’m gonna post this and then have a good night sleep… ooopps… I forgot I need to take a quicky shower, unpack my stuffs and then I could get some sleep. Ciao!
